Andrea Constand is the only woman to win a criminal conviction against Bill Cosby. At one time he was television’s most recognised face thanks to his stand-up comedy and The Cosby Show. He was a charmer and boasted on a 60s TV talk show that he drugged women. In the early 2000s, he met and groomed Constand, a Canadian athlete, drugging and sexually assaulting her in his home over a weekend. Cosby was convicted and sent to prison. Dozens of women came forward stating they’d also been his victims but he was granted an early release by a friendly judge. Director Karen Wookey and Constand’s important, shocking documentary The Case Against Cosby, lifts the lid off a serial predator’s impact and her will to survive and thrive. What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Constand and Wookey.
